Verizon Expands FiOS TV Service
--
Verizon expects to roll out the second wave of FiOS TV to Herndon, Virginia sometime this week. Many residents eagerly await the arrival of the new FiOS TV service. Verizon technicians are currently preparing their systems for launch by making sure everything will run smoothly.
Therefore, subscribers must wait before they can begin receiving their new Verizon FiOS service. This will be the second city in the nation to receive the FiOS TV service. The FiOS video service was first introduced to Texan's in early September of this year.
The launch of the FiOS TV in Keller, Texas was a huge success, prompting Verizon to actively acquire as many video franchises wherever possible. Hopefully, the FiOS roll out will follow in the footsteps of the successful deployment of the Keller launch.
Verizon FiOS will be fighting in the same space as Comcast digital cable television provider, a major player of internet and cable tv services here in Herndon.
Recently, Comcast's high-speed internet pushed forward a new pricing plan which reduced the rates of their internet services in order to compete with the low prices Verizon FiOS was offering with their internet service. This type of competition is great for consumers because this means the price for FiOS may be lowered due to the continued competition between Comcast and Verizon.
As Verizon FiOS and Comcast high-speed internet compete to dominate the internet and television space, consumers will be given a choice to choose which internet service provider they believe to have the better service and lower prices. Verizon is the current leader in providing fiber optic internet and television services to residential homes.
Comcast internet cable and other satellite internet service providers can't possibly compare with the speed and prices Verizon currently offers. As more consumers begin switching from their current cable internet providers to the new FiOS internet and television service, they will begin to receive speeds and quality they have never received from their previous internet and cable television providers.
Verizon FiOS delivers sharper pictures and sounds using fiber optic cables. This means that you will no longer receive choppy video and low sound quality caused by the slow coaxial cables used by cable internet providers. Herndon residents will soon receive their FiOS TV services and understand the true meaning of quality.
