MTV and BET signs agreement with Verizon
--
The MTV Networks and BET will now be providing audio and video content for Verizon's new FiOS TV service. This agreement will allow Verizon to provide quality music as well as video content for their newly launched FiOS television service.
The channels MTV Networks and BET will be providing are MTV Jams, VH1 Country, VH1, VH1 Classic, GAS Noggin/The N, MTV, MTV Espaņol, Spike TV, Nick at Nite, TV Land, MTV Hits, Comedy Central, BET, BET Jazz, BET Gospel, Nick2, Nicktoons, Nickelodeon, CMT, LOGO, MTV2, VH1 Soul and VH Uno.
Verizon has been constantly searching for television networks to sign agreements with and many television network providers are jumping for a chance to provide content for Verizon's FiOS TV service. Verizon FiOS is currently providing their internet services in 15 different states.
However, since Verizon FiOS TV service is a newly launched service and only recently went live in late September, it is currently only available to Keller, Texas customers. The MTV network agreement was signed just before Verizon FiOS TV went live in Keller, Texas. Hopefully FiOS TV will be available in all 15 states where FiOS internet is currently available.
